2-Hands Kids & Teen Classes

We have a wide variety of single-time classes available so that your young chef can try new cuisines, perfect their baking skills, learn how to sauté, make meals from scratch. These are designed and separated into classes for Kids (ages 9-12) and Teens (ages 12-16).

Confused on whether your young chef should be in the kid or teen program?
We have overlapped age 12 between Kids & Teens, because some have a lot of experience in the kitchen while others do not. We recommend they take a KID class, and the chef will notify you if your young chef is able to be in teens. For chefs younger than 9, please see our Little Chefs page.


BREADS

Now your young chef can participate in The French Kitchen fun with this kid-friendly version of Blandine’s very popular Bread Class. While we wait for our baguette dough to rise, we will make easy Pumpkin bread and Lemon loaves! Each participant will leave with 2 baguettes and a mini loaf of pumpkin and lemon bread.

In your young chef a chocoholic?? Is this cocoa-filled class, your young chef can learn the proper way to melt and work with chocolate using high quality ingredients. Working in pairs to create beautiful chocolate confections, all of their chocolately wishes will come true. Learn to make Sand Roses, Nutella Truffles, Chocolate Lava Cakes, and a Chocolate Bowl for Homemade ice cream!

Let’s get cupcake crazy with the basics of baking!!! In this class, your young chef will be whipping up some Chocolate and Vanilla Variations of cupcakes with different fillings and toppings ALONG with savory cupcakes they can eat for a meal! They will learn how to properly follow recipe directions, how to fill a piping bag along with decorating techniques.
Please Note: Each participant will make 6 sweet cupcakes and 4 savory cupcakes.


Teens- DIY PASTA

Once you eat delicious homemade FRESH pasta- it’s hard to go back to dried pasta. It has a bite and texture that can only be achieved by making the perfect pasta dough- which we will teach your teen chef in this class! We will make fillings and sauces from scratch along with pasta dough to create different ravioli and pasta shapes. Go home with several meals and the recipes. Learn how to make Semolina Pasta Dough, Ravioli Fillings: Creamy Lemon Basil, Butternut Squash And Sage, Ricotta & Spinach, Four Cheese & More. Sauces: Beef Ragù and Sage Brown Butter. Eat some of your creations in class and take the others home to enjoy!


PIZZA PARTY

In this class, young chefs will learn the principals of making dough to form flatbread pizzas along with fruit pizzas for dessert made from our in-house puff pastry. Each young chef will make their own pizza, pizza sauce, and mini fruit pizza with hand-picked toppings. Whatever they do not eat can be taken home along with the easy-to-replicate recipes.

SauteKids- SAUTE’

Bring on the heat with these Sauté classes! These classes are designed to teach your young chef to be safe and confident around all types of stovetops while making delicious meals that are healthy, balanced, and easy! Our chef will help them practice sauté a variety of foods and this is also a great class for knife skills. There are 2 different menus to choose from below.

As food trucks gain popularity around the country, we would like to introduce this class where your teen chef can prepare and eat a variety of food truck-inspired bites! We are packing a lot of flavor in different recipes and encouraging you to be more creative and adventurous. In this fast-paced class, participants will work individually on some of the dishes and as a team on others. Learn to make Cajun Egg Rolls, Indian Aloo Tikki Cakes, Croque Madames, Thai Lettuce Wraps, French Hot Dogs, and fun desserts!

Teens- ENGLISH TOFFEE
